Himalyan Sherpa Society
Himalayan Sherpa Society (Himali Sherpa Samaj) has been registered as a Non-profit Organization and Non-government Organization on 2000 A.D. to help Himalayan Communities to attain development in economic, health, educational, social and cultural sectors.
Nepal is a land of diverse cultures, living in harmony. We should unite to have a discrimination free state with equality for all. When we are united together social, cultural and educational development shall contribute directly or indirectly towards the development of the nation by creating capable and competent manpower. Keeping this in mindAt first, it was registered as Dolakha Sherpa Samaj but later it was changed to Himalayan Sherpa Society because its activities expanded to some other villages in Sindupalchok, Dolakha and Ramechhap Districts of Nepal. It was registered under Nepal government as on: HSS is situated at Chuchepati Bouddha ward no: 6 in between Pasang Lhamo Chok and Bhatbhateni Supermarket.
Vision
Our vision is to serve the Himalayan communities by helping them gain both spiritual and academic education and help them contribute to the nation and mankind.
Objectives:
Objectives of HSS are as follows:
- Preserving, developing and promoting the economic, educational, health religions and cultural values and norms of the Indigenous communities living in the Himalayan region.
- To motivate to modernize and develop the traditional local occupation, skills and businesses.
- To provide training and prepare the people who are backward in terms of economical, social and educational.
